A look into the #1 Residential Course in Georgia

Playing The Course

A round of golf at Cuscowilla is an experience that simply can’t be replicated anywhere else in the region. In just one round, you’ll enjoy shots with sweeping lake front views, navigate through towering Georgia pines, and maneuver around beautiful native grass areas strategically placed by the world-renowned Coore-Crenshaw design team. With treacherously contoured Champions Bermuda greens and Tift Grand Bermuda surrounds, a premium is placed on low, running approach shots into the green complexes. Recently renovated greenside bunkers, keeping the integrity of the red clay based originals, offer a uniquely natural look and firm playability

“We are extremely proud of Cuscowilla from a natural sense, the views of the lake, the beautiful pines, and the varied situations enabled us to include as many different golf strokes as we could." - Ben Crenshaw

Hole 5

With a fairway spanning 90 yards at its widest, this 299 yard hole lined with native grass on the left, offers a short yet challenging approach to a two tiered green protected by a small greenside bunker on the player’s right. One of the hardest greens to hit and hold on the course, but this starts to be a common theme as the round progresses.

Hole 10

Hit away over beautiful Lake Oconee from a wonderful vista view into a fairway sloped toward the water. The hole plays along the shoreline with a long green protected by a severe drop off on the player’s left.

Hole 11

Only 125 yards from the back tee, but protected by greenside bunkers both left and right, an extreme false front, and the Lake on the players right, the 11th offers panoramic views and a great challenge.
