Q: Who will be my main contact for wedding planning?
A: Your main contact will be our Events Manager, Carrie Vanderver and she can be reached at 706-484-0050.
Q: What are the deposits and when are they due?
A: Your wedding is not officially booked with Cuscowilla until the deposit is received. In order to reserve the date and space for your wedding, 50% of the room rental is due when the contract is signed. The balance of the event is due 30 days prior to the event.
Q: What amenities are there for the bride and groom?
A: The bride and groom will receive one complimentary night’s stay in one of our charming Golf Cottages, a round of golf for four, dinner for two at The Waterside and a complimentary night’s stay in a golf cottage on their one year wedding anniversary. All of these amenities are based on availability.
Q: Is there a group rate for my guests?
A: Yes. Wedding guests who chose to stay on property in the Golf Cottages, Lake Villas or Lodge Villas will receive our member rate up until 30 days prior to the event. Reservations booked within 30 days of the event, will be charged the regular resort rate.
Q: When do I need to finalize my menu?
A: The menu for your event should be finalized 30 days prior. A final guarantee number is due 10 days prior to the event.
Q: What does Cuscowilla provide for my event?
A: Cuscowilla provides tables, chairs, linens, silverware, glassware and china in the restaurant. For a ceremony on the point, chairs will need to be rented and a setup fee will be incurred.
Q: Can I provide my own caterer?
A: No. Cuscowilla requires that all food and beverage be purchased from Cuscowilla.
Q: Do you have children’s meals or discounts?
A: Yes. For children ages 5 to 12, we offer a 50 percent discount. For children 12 and over, the charge is the same price as the adult pricing.
Q: Can I set up a site visit with Cuscowilla?
A: Yes. Contact Carrie Vanderver at 706-484-0050 to schedule an appointment.
Q: Does Cuscowilla have a back up plan if there is inclement weather?
A: A tent can be rented that will cover the area for the ceremony. The rental of the tent due to inclement weather is the client’s responsibility.

Q: What types of payment options are available?
A: All major credit cards, cash or check.
Q: Do I have to use your vendors or can I bring in my own?
A: We provide you with a list of vendors we recommend; however, we allow you to use any vendors you choose.
Q: Can we reserve a dressing room for the bride, groom and attendants to change into wedding attire or going away clothes?
A: With the rental of The Waterside, we offer the use of our private dining room as a room for the bride and wedding party.
Q: For my out of town guests, what is available on property?
A: On property, we have the pool at The Waterside, as well as the pool at the Kids Club. We also offer an award winning golf course and two restaurants. We also have tennis facilities, as well as a Kids Club that can entertain young children for hours. Off property, we can set up pontoon boat rides, wave runner rentals, fishing, spa treatments and trips to a local gun club.
Q: I have a specific theme that I would like to use. Can I customize my own wedding event?
A: Yes. Our chef will always customize the menu and you can customize tables with your choice of décor.
Q: What is the Maximum capacity?
A: The maximum capacity for The Waterside is 250 people. For the Golf House, the maximum capacity is 100.
Q: Can I have my rehearsal dinner or bridesmaid luncheon at Cuscowilla?
A: We can offer space at both the The Waterside and the Golf House for rehearsal dinners or bridesmaid luncheons.
Q: What is the dress code at Cuscowilla?
A: Cuscowilla’s dress code at The Waterside and the Golf House is resort casual.
