Originally from Camden, South Carolina, Mr. Wayne Watts graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College with an Associates Degree in General Business. Wayne has worked in the golf industry for seventeen years. As a teenager, he began working his way from the bottom, working as a caddy and moving his way up in the profession.
Before coming to Cuscowilla, Wayne was the Head Golf Professional at Woodcreek Farms Country Club in Elgin, a suburb of Columbia, South Carolina. Wayne is also a member of the PGA and has been for the past three years. As a golf professional, he gets the most enjoyment assisting and interacting with people. He is looking forward to upholding the high level of customer service and expectations set by all members of the Cuscowilla team.
Even though Wayne has been working for less than a week, he has enjoyed the work environment at Cuscowilla; “The people are more relaxed, friendlier, and extremely down-to-earth. I look forward to meeting everyone who works here and the opportunities ahead,” he said.
Besides golf, Wayne’s interests include reading, fishing, and his daughter, Sydney who will be four next month.
